Terms of Service

Last updated: April 2025

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using Claimable, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Service Description

Claimable is a software tool that analyzes bank statement transactions to identify potentially tax-deductible expenses under Canadian CRA rules. It is an informational tool only and does not constitute tax, legal, or financial advice. Always consult a qualified accountant or tax professional before filing.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and a Canadian resident to use Claimable. By using the service, you represent that you meet these requirements.

4. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must not share your account with others or use Claimable to analyze data on behalf of third parties without their consent.

5. Payments and Refunds

All payments are processed by Stripe. Season Pass and Pro Annual purchases are one-time or annual fees respectively. We offer refunds within 7 days of purchase if you have not run more than one scan. To request a refund, email support@claimable.ca.

6. No Tax Advice

Claimable's analysis is generated by an AI model and may contain errors or omissions. The confidence ratings and T2125 line suggestions are starting points for review — they are not a substitute for professional tax advice. We are not liable for any tax assessments, penalties, or losses arising from reliance on Claimable's output.

7. Acceptable Use

You may not use Claimable to process fraudulent, illegal, or third-party data without authorization. You may not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the service. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Claimable's liability for any claim arising out of these terms is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated by email. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles.
